However, the only hotels and motels I can seem to find are in Sonora, a bit of a drive from the casino.
Does anyone know of any hotel or motel on Tuolumne Road? I don’t think there are any right in the town, but I could be wrong.
Otherwise, can anyone recommend a reasonably priced and safe hotel or motel in Sonora?

Hotels in Twaine Harte or Sonora are going to be your best bet — and they really aren’t that far away. The Best Western Sonora Oaks Hotel is probably your best bet:
